A suites hotel in Nişantaşı is judged on how the public rooms feel after dark, and the material palette here — walnut, deep green velvet, brushed brass, marble — punishes the wrong light source. Anything above 3000K turns the walnut grey, anything below CRI 90 flattens the green, and a visible source anywhere in the room breaks the domestic quality the interior is working for. The scheme is built from warm sources at high colour rendering, mostly concealed, with the only deliberately visible fittings being the two ring pendants that anchor the lounge. Regents LED supplied the lounge, the restaurant and bar, and the entrance arrival.
Lounge
Two Rings and Nothing Else on Show
The two rings are the only fittings in this room a guest is meant to notice, and they carry the whole composition. RL-PNT-CIR is specified in two diameters from the same family rather than two different products — the range runs D500 to D2000 and is built to be combined, so the rings share a body depth, a finish and a colour temperature, and the pair reads as one gesture rather than two lights that happen to be near each other. Everything else disappears. RL-ST1330 runs the full perimeter of the dropped ceiling, and because that circuit is continuous around the whole room it is specified at 24V — a 12V run of that length would fade visibly by the time it came back on itself. RL-DL3332 does the work on the green wall: Ø82 with a 15° or 24° optic and an adjustable head, so the beam lands on the framed pieces and stops there instead of washing the whole wall and killing the depth of the colour. RL-ST1226 lights the display niche in the walnut joinery, where a 10mm board is the only thing that fits behind a shelf reveal.

A Ceiling That Turns a Corner
The dropped ceiling here is a racetrack — two straight runs closed by a full radius at each end — and that single detail decides the specification. RL-ST1330 is flexible tape, so it takes the curve without a break; a rigid linear luminaire would have to be mitred into segments and every joint would show as a dark notch in a cove that is meant to read as one unbroken glow. RL-DL1599 supplies the tables from the flat white ceiling, at Ø55 cut-out and only 45mm deep — small enough that the apertures stay quiet against the plaster, shallow enough for the limited void a dropped ceiling leaves behind. RL-WS8160 is on the walnut panelling, two 30° beams throwing up and down, with adjustable heads so the twin cones can be aimed to sit symmetrically on the grain; it is available in bronzing gold, which matters when the fitting is at eye level against wood. RL-ST1226 is behind the marble bar front and under the back-bar shelves — 12V and 10mm wide, because the reveal in a stone counter is the tightest section in the whole scheme.
Entrance Canopy
The Building Seen from the Street
A hotel entrance has to be brighter than the street without becoming a lantern, because a guest arriving at dusk should be drawn to the door rather than made to squint at it. RL-LDL1500 sits in the bronze canopy soffit: IP65 because the soffit is open to outside air, and deep-tube anti-glare because the fitting is directly overhead at the moment someone stops to read the sign. At 20W to 50W with a COB source above CRI 80 it lifts the bronze cladding and the polished stone underfoot without the apertures themselves reading as bright spots from across the road. RL-SP3013 handles the planting either side of the door — IP65, adjustable head on a fixed base, and specified at CRI >90 rather than the standard 80, because below that the palms and the clipped hedging go grey and the whole entrance loses the one thing that makes it feel looked-after. Both are die-cast aluminium with anti-corrosion, UV-stable powder coating, which is what a street-facing Istanbul façade needs to still look right in five years.
