A complete lighting package for the business school's teaching, study and executive education spaces, and for the campus approach that connects them. Regents LED supplied the interior scheme — library and reading room, entrance atrium, feature stair and circulation — together with the external path, forecourt and landscape lighting. One warm 3000K palette runs through the whole site, every luminaire is DALI addressable, and the installed lighting load is an estimated 58% below the system it replaced.

Library & Reading Room

Study Light, All Day

01 / 03
Library and reading room - double-height study floor with mezzanine stacks

A reading room is judged on how it feels after three hours, not three minutes, so every fitting here was chosen for comfort at length. The RL-LDL1399 downlight carries the general layer on both levels — its centre frosted diffuser softens the source, and a range from 10W to 35W means the same fitting suits the double-height floor and the lower mezzanine soffit. Overhead, arrays of the RL-PNL2763 panel read as rooflights rather than luminaires, and their switchable colour temperature lets the ceiling track the day. The RL-LIN-REC runs as one unbroken recessed line above the balcony edge, tracing the architecture and lighting the walkway at the same time. In the stacks, RL-ST1330 strip in aluminium profile puts light on the book spines and nothing in the reader's eyes.

Entrance Atrium & Feature Stair

Arrival, and the Way Up

02 / 03
Entrance atrium - full-height glazing, reception desk and feature stair

The atrium had to do two jobs at once: give the building a memorable first moment, and stay comfortable for people crossing it a dozen times a day. The RL-PD9015 slim tube pendant provides the first — hung at staggered drops over the stair, the cluster reads as falling light rather than a fitting layout. The rest of the scheme stays deliberately quiet. RL-DL3330-RD sits in the raked mezzanine soffit, where its adjustable head keeps every unit aimed at the floor despite the slope of the ceiling. Across the flat high ceiling, RL-DL3333 uses a super-deep cup and double anti-glare cone so that at full atrium height only the light is visible, never the source. Over the desk, a single low-hung RL-LIN3010-30W gives reception its own task light and marks it as a destination in a very large room.

Campus Approach & Forecourt

Getting There After Dark

03 / 03
Campus approach at night - walkway, planting and the lit entrance

The external scheme is built in two heights so the route feels safe without feeling floodlit. RL-BL3286 columns carry the area light; one family covers the footpath poles and the taller twin-head positions near the vehicle turning area, so the whole campus holds a single silhouette. Below them, RL-BL3294 bollards mark the path edge and light the ground plane — the reason for a second layer rather than simply more columns is that it adds guidance without adding another bright source at eye level. At the entrance, RL-LDL1500 is recessed into the exposed soffit, where IP65 sealing handles the weather and the deep tube keeps glare out of the approach sightline. In the beds, adjustable RL-SP3013 spots are aimed up into the planting so the landscape has depth at night instead of a lit path between dark edges.
